Epic Games (Once known as Epic MegaGames) is an American video game development company based out of Cary, North Carolina. Epic Games was founded by Mark Rein and Tim Sweeney in 1991. Gamers will also most likely recognize the name Cliff Bleszinski who is the very vocal design director at Epic who recently has been the main figure pushing the popular Gears of War franchise. Besides the development of Gears of War, Epic also has been licensing out it’s popular Unreal Engine as a multiplatform option for other other game studios wanting an engine that works on the Xbox 360, PS3, PC as well as other platforms. As a game developer, the primary focus has been on the Xbox 360 with a little bit of support for the PS3 and PC platforms. Having experience with Xbox 360 game development would be a plus.
